Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cognico, LLC (“Cognico,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites, applications, and services, including daynews.ai and other Cognico products (collectively, the “Services”). We are a Delaware-registered software company, and we build consumer and professional AI products for understanding, organizing, and acting on information.
We designed our Services to be calm and focused, and we take the same approach to your data: we collect only what we need to provide and improve the Services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information you provide when you sign up or contact us, such as your name and email address.
- Content you submit to the Services, such as links, articles, notes, or other material you choose to process.
- Payment information when you purchase a paid plan. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (such as Stripe); we do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
- Usage and device information, such as app interactions, general log data, device type, and approximate region, collected to keep the Services secure and reliable.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Services; to process transactions and provide customer support; to personalize your experience; to communicate with you about updates and account matters; to detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services (such as hosting, analytics, and payment processing), when required by law or to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Service providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to perform services for us.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@cognico.ai. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.
Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections for such transfers where required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
